I woke to a grainy view
bigotry speckled a gray hue
I woke to a grainy stain
bloody murder shaming a foul reign
I woke to a grainy rebuke
dodgy words of a grand-duke
I woke to a grainy pain
deep-seated hatred, black and white
Will it ever wane?

Very powerful verse you wrote there! Sadly, this can be said true of east and west, north and south. Where can we hide from all the pain? But surely in the same east and west and north and south where hope must reign. 🙂
