I imagine taking your arms, unwrapping and unwinding them a thousand times

Around the invisible surface of your face

Letting time carry me backward

To that moment, that place I ventured so carelessly

I’d freeze time only for a moment

Reposition your arms to that hour, that day

And choose the fated path, that fork in the road

I was meant to travel

Treasuring every reclaimed second, minute, hour, day

While singing tick tock repeatedly

The new countdown

To my final destination
