I wasn’t looking
I was perfectly content
In my own little world
Until your words, your mind collided with mine
The happenstance of two worlds
Curiously halted, sniffing each other out
Hesitantly stroking each other’s words
Together we turned the key
And glimpsed each other’s world
A new twist of emotions
Intrigue, attraction
Oh, no, suddenly fearful
A pulling back of emotions
A sigh of dismay
For what can never be
But please don’t apologize
For the mental caresses
I certainly won’t
By chance
Our meeting happened for a reason
