She revamps her story on Café Au Lait
Mending and retouching
To and fro
A lyrical tango in pursuit of perfection
Voila!
A second, yet imperfect draft
Pursuant a wordless funk
A haze of psychedelic pink
Blocks cerebral mazes
She sighs
Yawns
And stretches
Pen pinging table
Another cup of coffee
Malaise a temporary cog
Ensues a tango of toilsome words
Revisited a third and fourth measure
Joyously, a final draft
But, oh, how bittersweet the toil
