In Response To Daily Prompt – Dramatic
Here it comes
I see it before it starts
My mind gasps, doors primed to shut
Waiting for the words to pour
A river of nonsensical
Speeding tirades
Spewed without consideration
Of my equanimity
I cringe and smile
Hoping she sees my repulsion
At words trampling all over my sanity
My calm
What a drama queen
I understand
It’s your insecurities, inadequacies
What a tragedy
Oh lord, help me!
Give me patience
I try so hard
But it’s wearing thin my mental stamina
The door finally shuts
