My cheerleader, thundering victory
Hope, whispering encouragement
Friend through laughter and tears
Strength, bolstering me through obstacles
Drive, pushing me through headwinds
Passion, burning desire
We’ve come far together you and I
Altering course, embracing change
Emerging at the whirlwinds’ funnel
Altered but still thriving, laughing, loving, and shifting
Like synchronized swimmers
Preparing for another gust to spin us off course
And when it does
