Ripples lap and retreat
Singing enchanting beats against a whirling breeze
Calming my toilsome stride to a gentle glide
Carrying me into Dawns’ kaleidoscope
Purple, blue, pink and orange
Wide-eyed
I give praise for a heavenly sight
Another day
One more run
Through nature’s majesty
Just one of God’s creatures pausing
Her daily ritual
Giving thanks for another chance
To live a glorious morning
